World Cup Lake Placid

Great conditions and knarly track make for superb skicross action, especially when the World Champion of Skicross, Tomáš Kraus, is just weeks away from the first ever Skicross Olympic Gold Medal event in the entire universe.

Del Bosco, from Canada and teammate of Stanley "the hair" Hayer, took the number one podium position just above Andy Matt of Austria and David Duncan.  The World Champion of Skicross put in some blistering runs to finish second in the small final. 

The FIS World Cup track, held at the site of the 1980 winter Olympics, provided its share of thrills and spills.  Unfortunately there were a number of injuries and some probably could have even been avoided if proper decisions were made.
